Dr. Siegmund graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry in 1981 while working part-time as a pharmacist. Graduating in the top 5% of his class, he was invited to join Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Siegmund has been active in the local dental community and recently served at the state level as Trustee for the Larimer County Dental Society. He has received regional recognition, having been selected by his peers as a top dentist as featured in 5280 Magazine. Dr. Siegmund was also recognized by the Consumer Research Council of America as one of America’s Top Dentists.
Dr. Siegmund started Shores Family Dentistry in 1985, after serving four years as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corp. He built this practice on the core values of quality, caring, and convenience. His attention to detail and the needs of his patients have made this solid, conservative practice into what it is today. He enjoys what he does and loves his patients.
When Dr. Siegmund is not working, he enjoys attending all of CSU sporting events … one of the many reasons that brought him to Fort Collins. He also enjoys traveling and is an avid reader!
Dr. Megna grew up in the small town of Skaneateles in upstate New York. After graduating high school, Sara lived abroad in Ecuador for a year via a Rotary foreign exchange program. Her time abroad allowed her to be immersed in a culture different from her own, learn Spanish, and establish lifelong relationships.
After returning from Ecuador, she attended a SUNY college to earn her Bachelors in Science in Biology and Spanish. Four years later, she graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in the top 5 of her class. The cold winters and grey skies of Buffalo made it a little easier to spend so much time studying! She then decided it was time to escape the New York winters and head for the Rocky Mountains.
Dr. Megna pursued a residency program at the University of Colorado, where she expanded her knowledge in many aspects of dentistry, including implant placement and Invisalign. Dr. Megna has special training in hospital dentistry from the University of Colorado. She provides advanced operating room and hospital setting dental care for special needs patients. Dr. Megna has hospital privileges with the University of Colorado and works part-time as clinical faculty instructing dental students at CU School of Dental Medicine.
She lives in Fort Collins with her husband and their dog. Her free time is spent in the mountains, camping, hiking, skiing, and cycling. She is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for traveling. She looks forward to meeting all of her patients and establishing a comfortable setting for their care. She prides herself on her compassion and conservative dental techniques to help patients achieve the smiles they desire!
Dr. Schultze was born and raised in northwest Iowa and attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he received a well-rounded education in comprehensive dentistry. Iowa is one of the only programs in the country to offer advanced training in all of the recognized specialties of dentistry, and he was able to complete externships in geriatric, special needs care, and hospital-based dentistry.
Upon graduation, he and his wife Hollie, a school counselor and native Coloradoan, moved to Oregon where he gained valuable experience in both public health and private practice settings. While they enjoyed their time in the Pacific Northwest exploring its natural beauty and developing lifelong friendships, the birth of their daughter, Ellie, led them to Fort Collins to be closer to family.
Throughout his practice, Dr. Schultze has come to realize and appreciate the profound impact dental care can make on a person’s confidence and overall well-being. Dr. Schultze has taken extensive continuing education in endodontics (root canals), implant dentistry, and cosmetic treatments including Invisalign. Additionally, he has led a local study group of dentists committed to providing better comprehensive care. While he thoroughly enjoys the clinical aspects of the profession, his favorite part of dentistry is developing lasting relationships with his patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Schultze enjoys spending time with family and finding ways to connect with the community. He is thrilled to be fulfilling a lifelong dream of living in Colorado. He loves exploring the outdoors by camping, hiking, skiing and mountain biking.
